Department of Law and Public Management

    

    With the care and elaborate plans of the college leaders, the Department of Law and Public 

Management absorbed two majors of Administrative Management and Public Affair Management from

 the original Business Department. Currently, the Department of Law and Public Management offers

 three majors including Law, Administrative Management and Public Affair Management. Of the eleven 

teachers, six are fulltime teachers, four are counselors of ideology and politics and one is teaching 

secretary. There are 22 classes with 1362 fulltime undergraduates, and 303 students graduated in 

2008. Among the teachers, nine are political party members and two are personages without party 

affiliation. 243 students are political party members.

    Department of Law and Public Management has four offices including 

 

    Over the years, led by the College Party Committee, the Department Party General Branch 

conscientiously implements important instructions from superior party organization, actively 

carries out various practical activities and organizes a series of activities of Party member theme 

practice including “College Vanguard ”, “Foster Contemporary College Students’ Party Member 

Image” and others, demonstrating contemporary college students’ vitality of keeping pace 

with the times in inheriting fine tradition of the Communist Party. Under the guidance of 

College Youth League Committee, the Department Youth League General Branch mobilizes 

the teachers and students to participate in various contests and activities including recreational 

and sports activities, academic activities, general knowledge tests and design competitions, 

achieving marvelous results.

    The Department of Law and Public Management has forested perfect characteristics of 

schooling. Based on the applied talents cultivating model designed by the college, the 

Department of Law and Public Management insists on “People First”, sticks to the development

 path beneficial for talents sustainability and pays more attention to cultivate the students’ 

actual application ability through combining theory and practice. The Department offers moot 

court, social practices and graduation field work to forge the students’ applied ability. 

Over 20 students have been admitted to pursue the Master’s degree at the graduate schools of Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Southwest 

University of Political Science and Law, Guizhou University, South Korean Chonbuk National 

University and other key universities both home and abroad. Moreover, more than 40 students 

passed the National Judicial Examination, National Public Servant Examination, Recruit of Grass-roots Organizations and “Three supports and one assistance” Examination.
